The West Pearl River was right around the fourteen (14) foot flood stage on the morning of May 3rd. Despite the raging, muddy river, seventeen (17) boats took off from Crawford's Landing in search of the winning stringer of bass. The high rivers impact on the fishing was painfully obvious when the 2:00pm weigh in rolled around. Only four (4) of the seventeen (17) teams managed to catch a five (5) bass limit. Charles Dauzat proved once again that despite the conditions, he can catch them. Dauzat had the winning weight of 6.60 pounds. The top three finishers were as follows:
