The 2016 season is off to a great start. Twenty-nine anglers showed up to do battle. It was a great morning with warm temps. The moon was full, and the water temps rising. It was setting up to be a amazing day, and when people started showing up at the scales with their full weigh bags it was evident that it was. Patrick Engerran put together the best pattern to bring in a beautiful limit that weighed 12 lbs. 4 oz. In second was Kenny Fauntleroy. Kenny brought in five fish for a total of 8 lbs. 6 oz. Will Henry finished third with a 8 lbs. 5 oz. limit. Eric Ciko, who had a 7 lbs. 14 oz. limit, took home fourth place honors. Big fish went to Steve Ruschmeier for his beautiful 5 lbs. 3 oz. swamp donkey.
