The 2016 Florida Parish Bass Anglers club wrapped up the year on the scenic Tchefuncte River and with 14 teams showing up to fish for cash and prizes as well as important Legend Cartography Angler of the Year points every fish was going to count. Cool temperatures greeted the anglers that chose to run down the river and elsewhere within the boundaries while several boats opted to stay close and grind it out. The Tchefuncte also posed an interesting challenge as rains during the previous week had muddied some of the areas up while other areas could have used some stained water after being so clear throughout the fall months. Like every tournament with this group of great anglers teams will rise up and prove that it wasn’t that hard to catch them by weigh in time at 3pm. The following is how the teams finished once the scales closed followed by the number of bass brought in and their overall weight.
1. Barry Galloway & Ron Garic 5 fish 9.77
2. Skip Rayburn & Patrick Engerran 5 fish 9.37
3. Wayne Richardson & Wayne Richardson Jr. 3 fish 9.12
4. Jason Pittman & Trenton Pittman (Northlake Oral & Facial) 5 fish 8.44

The Mister Twister Big Bass Award was presented to Wayne Richardson for a beautiful river fish that weighed 5.88 pounds and that fish was the second largest fish caught throughout the 11 tournaments that the club fished in 2016.
The Legend Cartography Angler of the Year Champion was also crowned after the weigh in and for the second consecutive year the father son team of Jason and Trenton Pittman were able to capture the title. The consistent finishes during the year helped them secure the repeat despite not capturing a regular season tournament win.

The Florida Parish Bass Anglers has quickly become one of the fastest growing clubs in the south and with the help of Sponsors such as Mister Twister, Legend Cartography Maps, Hydraulic Service and Supply, Northshore Fishing Report, Louisiana Cat, Tropical Pools and Palms and Southern Way Retriever’s it will only continue to grow. Without this group of sponsors as well as the members that continue to help out around the weigh in and behind the scenes the club wouldn’t be where it is as a premiere bass club in the area.
