The fourth bass tournament of the 2016 Liars and Lunkers season took place on Bayou Lacombe on Sunday, May 15th. The participants were met with windy conditions at take off, but that did not stop several teams from navigating Lake Pontchartrain's choppy waters in search of the winning stringer. The always strong father and son team of Phil and Morgan Schutte blew away the field with an impressive stringer of 13.18 pounds. Their stringer also included the tournaments biggest bass, a 3.78 pounder. The top three teams each received cash prizes and are listed below:

The fifth and last regular season Liars and Lunkers tournament will be June 12th at Crawford's Landing in Slidell. In addition, for any anglers that fish three (3) or more Liars and Lunkers tournaments this year, there will be a no entry fee classic tournament on July 10th at Lock One. Anglers Fishing the classic tournament will be able to launch on either side of Lock One and will fish until noon. The tournament will be followed by cash prizes, awarding of plaques and a free cook out.
