With the 2018 Tournament season fixing to kick off, a few changes are going to take place for the Power Rankings calculations. There have been a lot of questions pertaining to how the point system works in the past few seasons. Going forward there will be no doubt pertaining to the credibility or to how the rankings are being calculated. The results will be published for all to see on a monthly basis via the NBS page which hopefully will create some inter-trail competition between all of the anglers. With the turn of the New Year, everyone starts back at 0 with the capability to start stacking up points as they fish multiple events throughout the season. The below format is as fair across the board as it could possibly get, and it will be interesting to see how all of the anglers stack up throughout the season.
The rankings will be featured in the Slidell Independent and Tammany West Newspapers alongside NBS Tournament results and upcoming tournament announcements. The Northshore Fishing Report Radio Show heard monthly on WWL 105.3 FM from 7:00-8:00 a.m. will also feature the NBS anglers and rankings. Also the Tournament Talk Show will be another form of media used to promote the tournament scene on the Northshore. This will allow for some unique dialogue for the Power Rankings standings pertaining to who's moving up or down and have some interviews with some of the anglers who are ranked in the top ten. Tournament directors, please use this page as a way to publicize your event. I have no problem with giving you page space or air time as well to personally promote your trail.
Good luck this year and see below:
