Seems like this has been the year for tough conditions. Each week we have had either high winds, lots of rain, or both. This has made for high muddy water everywhere. Today was no different. As anglers pulled up to the 4th ST. launch they were greeted by water at the top of the dock and halfway across the road. This along with storms predicted for the day kept a lot of people home. However at the end of the day through all the bad weather it turned out to be a good day, fish wise. At the weigh in the lightning was popping and rain still falling. Anglers stood around soaked and shivering Jason Pittman who is sponsored by Northlake Oral & Facial, brought a limit weighing 6 lbs. to claim first place. In second was Nick Lemmon with a 5 lbs. 11 oz. limit. Cameron Wagner had a beautiful 5 lbs. 1 oz. Tchefuncte stud to claim the big fish honors.
Other anglers who brought in fish:
3rd: Patrick Engerran 5 fish 5 lbs. 10 oz.
4th: Cameron Wagner 1 fish 5 lbs. 1 oz.
5th: Timmy Dickens 2 fish 4 lbs. 13 oz.
6th: Korey Inscoe 2 fish 3 lbs. 4 oz.
7th: Chris Basey 1 fish 2 lbs. 13 oz.

I would like to take a second to thank Patrick Engerran of Florida Parish tournaments for helping out this morning. I had some issues this morning and couldn't make it to the launch before daylight. Your help is much appreciated. The next tournament will be on the East Pearl on May 15th. If you have any questions you can call Chris Basey at 985-707-7857 or email bassassassinsla@gmail.com
