RP3 Bass King is a fun, friendly, and unique tournament that will result one angler punching his/her ticket to the 2015 Bass Assassins Classic. The top anglers who failed to make the 2015 Bass Assassins Classic through the regular season events should save the date December 7th 2014 for their final shot at making the Classic. This tournament will allow the highest ranking non-Classic qualifier to punch his/her ticket to the Bass Assassins Classic. (Non-qualified Anglers do not have to win the tournament to make the Classic. Just rank the highest amongst non-qualifiers and you are in the 2015 Bass Assassins Classic. This is an open tournament. Entry fee is $25 per angler big bass is included in entry fee.
Rules of the game
1. All state and federal fishing and boating regulations will be followed at all times.
2. Life jackets must be worn by the anglers while the main combustion engine is running.
3. All anglers are to remain in their boat at all times during tournament hours unless an emergency occurs.
4. ATTN: Each tournament will be limited to one specific body of water (boundaries are limited from Lake Pontchatrain to the northern most part of the designated water way and adjacent inlets. (running out into the lake to fish different bodies of water is prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification)
5. Fishing methods are limited to rod and reel, and artificial lures only.
6. The tournament director has the right to delay shorten, or cancel the start of the tournament during the event of bad weather, or other hazardous factors that would affect the safety of the anglers.
7. Species for the tournament are largemouth and spotted bass.
8. Anglers will have a 12 inch minimum, with a 5 fish creel limit.
9. All fish will be inspected and must be alive to weigh. If you have a dead fish you will not be able to weigh it in. All bass are to be handled with care and will be released after you weigh in.
10. Tournament hours are from safe light until 130 pm. If we have over 20 competitors that attend, names will be called out for takeoff beginning with the anglers who signed up first. Anglers will be penalized 1 lb. for every min they are late for check in. After 10 minutes of being late the angler will be disqualified.
11. This is a singles event. You can have a co angler fish on the stern of the boat but he/she will keep and weigh in their own 5 fish limit. (This is a fun and friendly event that is operated under the honor system, and I expect anglers to use honesty and integrity when accompanied by a co angler.) 2 anglers per boat max.
12. In the result of a tie. Both pots will be combined and split between the 2 anglers. (example: 1st place tie: 1st & 2nd place pots will be combined and split. 2nd place tie: 2nd & 3rd place pots will be combined and split. 3rd place tie: anglers will split the 3rd place pot. Big bass tie: anglers will split the pot.
13. All entry fees will be 100% paid back to the anglers. We will pay out the top 3 places and 1 big bass pot.
14. As a condition of participation in each tournament, each competitor fishing in an RP3 Bass King Tournament releases officials and sponsors from liability of any accidents, losses or thefts that may occur.
15. Last but not least. Have Fun! This is a laid back event that consists of a bunch of guys that enjoy a little competitive bass fishing.
16. Event winners will be asked for a little information on how they won and what they looked for to locate their winning fish. We won’t ask for specific locations. Just lures and how you approached this tournament under the current conditions. Any info will be a big help to promote yourself and our local fishing forums. Thanks in advance.
