I started out fishing in the rice field canal and noticed the water was way higher than normal, and also noticed the tide was pouring out (probably the hardest I've ever seen it back there) So I ran back to the first little cut before the bulkhead and noticed the bass schooling and started throwing a zoom fluke rigged weightless. I put 7 decent little schooling bass in the boat all from 12-13 inches. After the action kind of died off I started throwing a frog in the actual ricefield canal a few hundred yards from the one lane bridge and picked up 2 chunks both around 2lbs. I then ran to Bayou Dezaire and the frog action was just heating up in there. I picked up probably 20-25 in there all between 2-4lbs. At around 11:00 am the tide started to slow down and the sun came out and the bite died. I was using a spro-frog in the black and yellow color. I had numerous blowups and misses (typical with frog fishing) -HOOKDAT 7/12/13
