The East Pearl River was the sight of the latest Double Nickel Bass Club tournament. 24 boats showed up to fish on an unusually warm day for November. Everyone talked like they caught fish but in reality they just were unable to deliver one kicker fish to their stringer. Bob Perry came in first place with a 3-fsh tournament limit weighing 5.842 pounds. Perry also caught the big fish of the day: a 2.734-pound bass. Ralph Williams took second place with 5.148 pounds. Williams also won second place Big Bass with a 2.403-pound fish. Third place went to Mike Marodis who brought in a 3-fish stringer that weighed 5.026 pounds.
The Double Nickel Bass Club is holding its next tournament at the East Pearl River on November 15. For more information please contact Dwain Crumby at 985-502-6006.
