On October 27th, 2024 for the 3rd event Liars and Lunkers had 14 teams competing on the water for cash prizes. To say the river system has been stingy lately is an understatement. Low weights and tough fishing has been consistent lately. First place went to Lewis Ritchie and Russell Lawrence with 8lbs. 8oz. Second place went to Ralph Dunn and Ronnie Flowers with 7lbs. 15oz. Finishing in Third place was Kevin Bovia and Mark Cole with 7lbs. 2oz.

The Double Nickel Bass Club fished the East Pearl River on a mild morning. The tide was falling early and waned as the day progressed. Out of the 21 anglers who fished the event, Ralph Dunn brought in the biggest bag at weigh-in with a 3-fish limit weighing 6.87 pounds. Dunn also had the big fish with a 3.08-pound kicker. In second place was James Harris with 5.79 pounds. David Ferguson placed third with 5.61 pounds.

The Bass Assassins fished a high and fairly clear East Pearl River for their final tournament of 2024. The morning was chilly as the boats blasted off it was 60 degrees.   The water temps were hovering in the low 80s that morning.  Everyone was ready to get out on the water because it looked like it was going to be a great day.  As the day progressed, it was clear that their assumptions were wrong.  At the weigh-in, in some well-known river fishermen were talking about how tough it was.  Some only managed a few fish to bring to the scales.  John Seghers was able to put together a 7.70-pound limit to beat out the other 16 anglers in the field.  John Cahill took home second place with his 6.27-pound limit.  A 5-fish bag weighing 5.78 pounds was enough to propel Rob Roberts to a third-place finish.
