The rain didn't stop the fourth Liars and Lunker's Fall/Winter Series tournament, which was held at the East Pearl River on November 26th. Only seven teams should up in the predawn rain to participate. Word had it, the rain scared some off, deer and duck hunting lured some away and maybe a few were still recovering from Thanksgiving. Either way, a lot of fish were caught and good fellowship was had by those in attendance.
No surprise that Eric Ciko took the win with 7.31 pounds. Second place went to Phil and Morgan Schutte with 7.01 pounds. The team of James Harris and Chad Hartzog took third with 5.87 pounds. Timmy Dickens caught a 3.21 pounder, which was the days biggest.
The fifth and final 2023 Fall/Winter Series tournament will be held at the East Pearl River, Hwy 90 launch, on December 17th. Everyone who fishes three or more of the Fall/Winter Series tournaments will be invited to a free classic tournament at Crawford's Landing on January 28th.
