On Sunday, May 26th the Liars and Lunkers held a tournament out of Crawford's Landing on the West Pearl River. There were fifteen (15) teams that were brave enough to deal with a river way above flood stage and the 90 plus degree heat that was predicted for the day. At the weigh later that afternoon, most everyone agreed that the fishing conditions were tough at best. Most everyone that is, except for the top three teams that took home cash prizes. The winners were Barrett Brayson and Daniel Schommer who weighed in 12.36 pounds of bass. Second place went to Charles Dauzat, who fished solo and weighed in 11.10 pounds. Third place went to Eric Ciko and Chad Livingston who had 10.36 pounds and also had the days biggest bass that weighed in at 3.41 pounds.
The next Liars and Lunkers tournament will be June 30th at Poole's Bluff in Bogalusa. That will be the last points tournament of the 2019 Spring Series. All teams that fish at least three of the Spring Series tournaments will qualify for the free Classic tournament that will be held July 28th at Lock One (either side).
