The last Bass Assassins tournament was held on the West Pear and launched at Crawfords Landing. The week before was full of off and on rain with some storms being pretty severe. The river was at 11.5 feet at the Pearl River gauge and rising a foot a day. The temps have been brutally hot and this day was no different. Out of the 15 anglers who fished only one went north from the launch and the rest ran to get out of the unstable river. Eric Ciko battled heat exhaustion and the tough conditions to take home the win and big fish. He stumbled up to the scale and weighed in a 8.44 lbs. limit and a 3.43 lbs. kicker.

Over a pound behind him we find Steve Hadley in second with a 7.36 lbs. limit. Sneaking into third we find Devin Artigue with a limit totaling 6.75 lbs.
