Chris Basey For the last Bass Assassins on the Tchefuncte River there was 22 anglers showed up to brave a busy summer time river with rain in the forecast. The tide for most of the day was dead slow to the point that you couldn't even determine whether it was falling or rising.Talk at the launch in the morning was about how the river has been fishing hard lately and the results at the scale confirm it. Eight out of the 22 anglers didn't even have a fish to weigh in. At the end of the weigh in Jason Pittman took home the win with his 10.32 lbs. limit.

Jason Whitaker ended up second with a 6.42 lbs. limit. His limit was anchored with a 3.77 lbs. kicker to take home big fish of the day as well. In third we find Alex Guidry with a 6.29 lbs. limit. Fourth place went to Danny Giovingo for his four fish bag that totaled 6.23 lbs.
