Fall brings some of the most beautiful weather, colors, and some much needed relief from the summer heat. It also brings the fall transition for bass which means some tough fishing. At the last Bass Assassins on Bayou Bonfouca it was very apparent fall was here. Nine anglers showed up to enjoy the beautiful day and only 6 weighed in fish. Jimmy Dorris is no stranger to Bayou Bonfouca and he used his extensive knowledge of the area to bring in a 8 lbs. 9 oz. limit to claim the top prize. Jimmy also had the big fish of the day with a 4 lbs. 7 oz. kicker. In second we find the current points leader Steve Hadley with a 7 lbs. 15 oz. limit.
3rd: John Seghers 3 fish 6 lbs. 11 oz.
4th: Gene Perilloux 3 fish 3 lbs. 5 oz.
5th: Chris Basey 1 fish 2 lbs. 4 oz.
6th: Bill Dorris 1 fish 1 lbs. 10 oz.
The next Bass Assassins will be held Oct. 2nd. on Bayou Lacombe at Main Street Launch. If you have any questions you can email [email protected] or call Chris Basey at 985-707-7857.
