Keith Lusher The Double Nickel Bass Club fished the Tchefuncte River on Tuesday. A light breeze was blowing out of the north and water was falling out of all of the cuts. Needless to say, the fish were biting as 6 anglers competed. In the end it was Joe Picone who came out on top with a 3-fish tournament limit weighing 4.550 pounds. In second place was Steve McCoy who brought in a limit of 3.450 pounds. McCoy also won the big fish pot with a 2.420-pound bass.
The Tchefuncte River is a great place to fish during the week and the improvements to the 4th st. Launch (lighting and pavement) make it even better thanks to Covington Mayor Mark Johnson.
