Chris Basey The weather is warming up and so is the fishing. The bass fishing has been on fire lately. Twenty-nine anglers showed up at the East Pearl launch on Hwy. 90 to do battle. The morning was a bit windy but was perfect for keeping the gnats at bay. When the day was done there was 13 limits caught and eight of those were over ten pounds. John Andrews claimed 1st. with a 12 lbs. 5 oz. limit. In second we found Branden Lossett with a limit weighing 12 lbs. 2 oz. Third place went to Scott Mitchell for his 11 lbs. 14 oz. limit. Jay Breland finished in fourth with a 11 lbs. 13 oz. limit. The big fish of the day was a 4 lbs. 8 oz. kicker brought in by Chris Stuart.
