The Bass Assassins gathered at the Lock 1 launch this past muggy Sunday morning. If you were to write a book on all the things that create a tough day on the water we had them all for this tournament. Following another volcanic week the water temps in the lock were at 90 degrees. The moon was full and the wind was very light to not at all. The Pit Of Misery ( as some of us call Lock 1 ) lived up to its name on this day. Some of the bass brought in to the scales were so skinny they literally looked like Sac-a-lait. John Cahill grinded through the day to piece together a 4.86 lbs. limit to earn him the first place prize. In second we find Zach Barns with three fish that totaled 4.77 pounds. Barns also had the big fish of the day which was a 2.34-pound bass. Troy Ladner rounded up the top three with a four fish bag weighing 4.26 pounds.
