Scott Andrews Thanks to all that showed up and fished last Sunday on the Tchefuncte. Lots of fish were caught during the short tournament from safelight to noon. For me and my partner, we could not get good fish to bite. We caught over 20 fish but not the right ones. I think the fishing in the river is going to be great this fall and spring as more bait is starting to show up
In first was Kyle Hills with 8.60 with a large kicker at 5LBS. Second place was Todd Tolbert with 6.63. Third place was Tommy Rogers with 5.88lbs.
The River Champs is having another Tournament this Sunday on the Tchefuncte from safelight until 2 p.m. it will be out of the 4th street launch in Covington. You can fish as a team and or individual and the entry fee is $40 per boat. This tournament will always be 100% payout. We will also be giving out some door prizes at the conclusion of the tournament. I hope to see everyone this Sunday.
