Finally a nice day! It seems like every tournament this year we have had to deal with freezes and rain. This past Sunday was absolutely beautiful. We ended up with twenty anglers at the Bayou Liberty Marina ready to do battle on the bayou. When the scales closed we could see that while the day was awesome the fishing was tough. LaShun Robertson took home the win with a limit weighing 8 lbs. 8 oz.
Jimmy Dorris ended up in second with a 8 lbs. 6 oz. limit. In third we find Chris Basey a 7 lbs. 13 oz. limit. Bill Dorris wrapped up the top places with a 7 lbs. 11 oz. limit. The big fish honors go to Chris Basey for his 3 lbs. 14 oz. kicker.
The rest of the results are as follows:
5th: Will Henry 5 fish 6 lbs. 6 oz.
6th: Timmy Dickens 4 fish 5 lbs. 9 oz.
7th: John Andrews 3 fish 5 lbs. 6 oz.
8th: Ty Hibbs 4 fish 5 lbs.
9th: Jode Holden 3 fish 4 lbs. 8 oz.
10th: John Cahill 3 fish 3 lbs.
11th: John Mistric 2 fish 2 lbs. 15 oz.
The next Bass Assassins will be held at Tchefuncte River June 6th. If you have any questions you can email [email protected] or call Chris Basey at 985-707-7857.
