Lee Hillman Marsh & Bayou Outfitters Bass Trial Tournament. March 22nd was the first Marsh & Bayou Outfitters Bass Trial Tournament. It was a great day to be out chasing some bass. We had 22 boats whom brought in 20 limits of 5 fish to the scales. Total weight of Bass weighted in was 205.45 pounds of fish out of 106 bass weighted. We had 8 limits that went over 11 plus pounds each. The day stared off with an over cast but shortly the sun broke out and with little wind. This reminded us of fishing the hot summer times in Louisiana. Our top 4 teams walked away with a total of $1540 Plus a big fish pay out of another $110. 1st Place was Steve Hadley with a total of 13.25 pounds and Big fish of 5.90 pounds. Steve won a total of $830 for 1st place stinger and $110 for big fish. $940 makes a nice payout for a days work on the water. 2nd place was the team of Travis Young and Terry Googins with a total of 12.55 pounds and taking home $420. 3rd place was the team of Jason Pourcian and Roger Hudnall with 12.35 pounds winning $200. 4th place went to Donald (Frenchie) Torregano with 11.80 pounds and won $90.

Our next tournament will be on April 19th out of the East Pearl river ramp. Entry fee are $70 a team and $5 for big fish pot. There is a $10 per person membership which is paid back into our championship. All tournaments are 100% pay back. We have 5 more tournament left for this season and if you fish 4 of the 6 you can fish in our Championship.
