The Double Nickel fished Tuesday morning on the East Pearl River. 19 boats showed up to fish a low and muddy river. The lack of wind made the mosquitos and gnats a pain to deal with. The temperatures were mild at blast-off but soon became hot as the weigh-in rolled around. At the launch it was Skip Paytt who came out on top with a 3-fish tournament weighing 6.87 lbs. Payatt also won the big bass pot with a fish weighin 3.91 lbs. In second place was Bob Perry with 6.11 lbs. Chirs Stuart took third place with 5.20 lbs.
The Double Nickel Bass Club (East) is holding its next tournament at the East Pearl River on June 4. For more information, please contact Dwain Crumby at 985-502-6006.
