The Double Nickel Bass Club fished the East Pearl River as 23 anglers showed up to fish a day that saw cooler temperatures then normal with a high of 85 degrees and low humidity. The river was high today with a very weak tide however, the guys still caught fish. Leading the pack was Ralph Dunn who brought in a  tournament limit of 3 fish that weighed 8.41 pounds. Dunn also caught the biggest fish of the day which was a 4.75 pound bass. Tommy Watkins took second place with a 3-fish limit weighing 5.93 pounds. In third wass James Harris with a limit of 5.76 pounds. 

​The PRTT held its monthly tournament at Crawfords Landing With the Pearl River raging and over flood stage. At the end of the day, the father and son team of Rustin and Cristian Beaudette  Came in with the impressive winning weight of 20.11 lbs anchored with the big fish of the day at 6.5 lbs. 2nd place went to Eric Ciko and Ryan Howard with 9.3 pounds. 3rd place went to Charles and Jordan Dauzat with 8.5 pounds. 4th place went to Tony Cooper and Gary Henery with 6.10. and 5 th place went to Chad Hartzog and James Harris with 6.5 pounds

A small crowd of twelve anglers showed up to do battle on Lock 1 for the last Bass Assassins tournament.  Rain was predicted for the day and the morning air had a welcome mild feeling.  Hopefully this is a sign that cooler temps are right around the corner.  The bass were also enjoying the cooler weather.  It took a 9 lbs. limit brought in by John Seghers to take the top spot.  Eric Ciko finished second with a 7 lbs. 15 oz. limit.  Right behind Eric was Jimmy Dorris with a 7 lbs. 13 oz. limit.  The big fish honors went to Kerry Terrebonne for his 4 lbs. 3 oz. kicker.
