Chris Basey The busy Tchefuncte River was the scene for the Bass Assassins this past Sunday. After what seemed like an eternity of rainy weekends we were finally presented with a beautiful weekend. The temps were mild and the river was low with a falling tide to start the morning. We had 19 anglers show up to battle it out on the river. At the weigh in the talk was all about the shad spawn that was going on early and how it seemed like a light switch when the fish quit biting. Looking at the weights that early morning bite was short but really good. In first we find Ron Garic with a beautiful limit weighing 15.46 lbs. Ron also had the big fish of the day with his 4.75 lbs. kicker.

Josh Enman took home second with a 10.07 lbs. limit. Jimmy Dorris ended up in third with a limit totaling 8.19 lbs.
