The Florida Parish Bass anglers held their monthly tournament out of the Manchac boat launch on I-55 and were dealt some interesting conditions considering that we are in the month of September. The days leading up to the tournament the area was gifted low humidity and a STRONG Northeast wind that brought the water levels up all over the Lake Maurepas basin as well as the rivers feeding into Lake Ponchartrain. The cool air temperatures were a welcomed addition to all the anglers that showed up and as blast off neared many anglers were scrambling for that extra layer of warmth for the boat ride. The fishing on the other hand was truly a grind and that was evident as only one team managed to bring a limit to the scales and the results are below.
1st Richard Bennett & Lashun Robertson 10.49lbs
2nd Jason & Trenton Pittman 5.87lbs
3rd Wayne Richardson & Wayne Richardson Jr 5.03lbs

The Mister Twister Big Bass of the tournament went to Richard and Lashun with a fish weighing in at 3.71lbs and that fish earned them the Big Bass prize money as well as the tackle package provided by Mister Twister.
