The Florida Parish Bass Anglers held their September tournament on the Ticfaw River recently and had a great turnout with 21 boats showing up to fish for the cash and merchandise prizes.  The heat and the bite was hot for numerous teams as everyone spread out across the vast area that was available due to the light winds throughout the day.  A great day with a good bit of heat and sunshine stayed with the teams all day until everyone was due in at 3pm.   Eleven limits were brought in and the results are as follows:

1st Skip Rayburn & Lance Davis 11.89lbs
2nd Thomas McCrystal & Sammy Cobb 11.28lbs
3rd Donnie Bardwell & Nathan Tompkins 10.55lbs

The Mister Twister Big Bass Award package of tackle as well as the Big Bass money pot went to Skip and Lance for a fish weighing 3.93lbs that they brought to the scales.  They will get to select several packs of plastic baits od their choice courtesy of Mister Twister for their effort.

The Regis Radiator Angler of the Year title chase has seen the strong tournament after tournament performance this year by Dale and John Dale Robertson result in a pretty wide gap for them over the rest of the teams so far and it will get interesting as we enter the home stretch of the race.  You can find info on the 3 remaining tournaments left to fish this year (held on the second Sunday of each month) so please visit our Facebook page or email us at [email protected] with any questions that you might have.

The team of McCrystal & Cobb also won the KYSEK Ice Chest Contingency Program award for being the highest finishing team registered in the program and displaying a KYSEK logo during the event this month.

The next tournament is scheduled for the Spillway/Basin at the Dorian’s Landing off HWY 70 just outside of Morgan City on Saturday October 12th & on Sunday October 13th from safelight that morning to 3pm that afternoon.  The club is fishing a make up day for the cancelled tournament as well as it’s regular tournament scheduled for down there the following day.  They will each be one day events so if you can only make one of the days and not both you can still join us.  If any present club members or future club members have any questions concerning the two day event please feel free to reach out to us at the email listed above or message us on facebook.   Everyone is welcome to fish with the club once they have paid the membership dues of $25 a person so come join us in the swamp!!! The membership dues as well as $5 per boat per tournament go into the Classic Pot that will be fished in March of 2020 at a location announced later and to qualify for it all you need to do is have fished 6 of the 10 tournaments in 2019.

The FPBA has aligned with some great sponsors such as Mister Twister, Kysek Ice Chests, Regis Radiator, Tangi Rods, Louisiana Cat and Ja-Roy Pest Control.  These sponsors will be providing awards and deep discounts throughout the year to all the members.  If your business would like to partner with us and be featured on all our media outlets as well as at the tournaments, please email us at the address listed above.
