The Liars and Lunker's kicked of the 2023 Spring/Summer Series with a tournament out of the East Pearl River on February 26th. Seventeen (17) teams managed to find their way to the East Pearl River boat launch on Highway 90 to battle for the win. By finding their way, I mean that Highway 90 is still closed at the West Pearl River bridge. That means that you have to drive around and get to the launch from the Pearlington, Mississippi side. If you check Google Maps, I think you'll find that getting there is quicker and easier than you may think.
At the end of the day, some big bass and sacks were brought to the scales. Taking the win was Steele Sessions and Tyler Allgood with 14.52 pounds.

Second went to Eric Ciko and Ryan Howard with 12.34 pounds. Third went to Rustin and Cristian Beaudette with 11.89 pounds. Catching the days biggest bass, a 4.57 pound lunker, was Roger Mitchell.
The next Liars and Lunker's Spring/Summer Series tournament will be March 26th at the East Pearl River. Don't forget to drive around. It will be years before Highway 90 is open again, so this will be the new normal for a while.
