The second Bass Assassins of 2025 was held on Lock 1 with 22 anglers showing up to battle it out. Leading up to this tournament we had a big warming trend with clear sunny days for a couple days leading up to the tournament. This had the everyone's hopes up for a bed fishing slug fest and limits north of 10 lbs. As the day passed by the fishing was good however it was far from a slug fest. There were no signs of beds or fish up shallow. Most fish were still off the bank staging up. At the end of the weigh in we found Zach Barnes dominated the field with a 8.29 lbs. limit and a 3.85 lbs. kicker that earned him first and big fish of the day.
John Andrews took home second with his limit that weighed 7.59 lbs. Third place went to Jimmy Dorris with his 6.78 lbs. limit. Rounding up the top fourth we find a Bass Assassins veteran Gene Perilloux with a 6.49 lbs. limit.
