My sons and 2 of his podna's decided to go mess around in Ponchatoula Creek this morning to see if they could find some bass. I got up early to pre-fab a deerstand for a hot spot I found and I get a text that they are smashing them. Now it doesn't take much to get me bass fishing, but I'm half way into my project and it ain't 8am yet. Next I get a picture text of some really nice bass almost filling a 48qt ice chest, now I'm getting an anxiety attack. I had to take some med's to slow my heart rate a little. My son calls and says they are on the craziest bass bite that they've ever seen. He said anything in chartreuse with a black back was killer. They used the KVD 1.5 and 1.0 square bill bouncing them of stumps and structure. He also said if you missed one another almost immediately hit the bait. They ended the day with 30 good weigh bass and threw back at least the same amount.Don't know what was making them smile more, the beer or the fish. I Didn't go fishing myself but did finish my project. I have to get my priorities right next time!
