19 boats showed up June 30th, 2024 at the East Pearl for our last event of the points race to determine this year's Angler of the Year award! A finally low River, well within its banks, had anglers anxious to get the morning started to see how the bite had changed over our very long stretch of high water into the Summer months this season. Taking home 1st place honors was Skip Rayborn with 9.64 lbs!!! Following in a close 2nd place was Steve Hadley and Dwaine Crumby with 9.59 lbs. 3rd place was the team of Kevin Bovia and son Kevin Jr. with 9.30lbs. Taking home Big Bass was Lee Hillman with a 3.36 pound beauty.

The Double Nickel fished the East Pearl as 20 boats showed up to fish on a hot day. In the end Barry Lee came out in first place with a 3-fish limit that weighed 7.03 pounds. In second place was John Pichou with a limit weighing 7.02 pounds. Ralph Dunn took third with 6.99 pounds. Dunn also won the big bass pot by brining in a fish that weighed 3.25 pounds.

It was a hot day on the Tchefuncte River as 6 anglers fished the Double Nickel event. A light breeze made the morning bearable. At the weigh-in it was Ron Hindman who came out on top with a 3-fish limit weighing 5.49 pounds. Hindman also won the big fish pot with a 3.38-pound bass. Steve McCoy finished in second place with a limit that weighed 2.82 pounds
