The Double Nickel (West) fished the Tchefuncte River on Tuesday. The river was clean and there was a slight breeze whcih made it pleasant. A group of 7 anglers blasted off from the 4th St. Launch and headed south. At the weigh-in it was Joe Picone who came out on top with a 3 fish bag weighing 3 lbs. Wayne Wicker came in second with a total of 2.86 lbs. The big bass of the day was caught by John Cefaln who weighed in a 1.49-lb. bass. 

A group of 27 anglers gathered at the beautiful Foggy Waters Marina on scenic Bayou Liberty for the latest Bass Assassins Tournament. The temertures during the mornig hours were mild but it didn't take long for the tmeps to climb fast aftere the sun came up. The water level was normal height and falling to start the morning and the winds were light.  As the morning progressed, the tide slowed down and looked like it wanted to change, but it never did.  By weigh-in time it was reduced to a slow fall. With the shad spawn going on, anglers were anxious to get to their first spots fast as the numbers were called out.  At the weigh in "tough" was the word on everyone's lips around the scale.  9 or 27 anglers did not bring in any fish.   In first place we have Chris Basey with a 8.93 lbs. limit. 

The Tchefuncte River was clean with a light breeze as 7 anglers showed up to do battle in the Double Nickel (west) tournament. After returning to the scale and weighing all the fish, Wayne Wicker found himself in first place with a 3-fish limit that weighed 5.643 lbs. Wicker also won the big fish pot with a bass that weighed 2.87 lbs.  Second place went to Richard Alloto with 2.25 pounds.
