Early in the morning this past Sunday we had a big crowd show up to fish the Bass Assassins out of Foggy Waters Marina. Fourty-six anglers showed up to do battle. Trucks filled up the parking lot and boats lined the bank on each side of the bay that the launch is in. As the sun started to shine in the morning sky we started to call out the boats. One by one the anglers headed out to their first spots with big hopes and dreams for the day. With that many anglers fishing and the time of year it is I figured that there would be some big bags brought in to the scales. I was wrong. The front that came through the Friday before had the fish shut down. John Seghers was able to figure out the tough conditions to bring in a 7.66 lbs. limit to take home first place and a 3.49 lbs. big fish to win the big fish of the day as well. In second we find Jimmy Dorris with 4 fish totaling 6.06 lbs. Josh Enman ended up in third with a four fish bag weighing 5.67 lbs. In fourth we had a tie between Eric Ciko and John Cahill who both had a limit totaling 5.39 lbs. Eric's big fish was larger than John's so he ended up fourth and John ended up in fifth.
