It is going to be an exciting year for the local tournament fishing season on the Northshore. This year the Bass Assassins, RP3 Custom Fishing Lures, and Northshorefishingreport are teaming up to create one of the most exciting tournament series in the Northshore area. We have decided to create a Bass Assassins AOY race, along with an RP3 Bass King Wildcard event, and a Bass Assassins Classic for the 2014 Bass Assassins Tournament Season. This format will allow local weekend tournament anglers to compete just like the pros.
AOY Points Race
In addition to the Bass Assassins Tournament Series we will be crowning a Bass Assassins Angler of the Year Champion in November for the final tournament. Every angler who brings fish to the scales for weigh in will receive points on how they fall in standings for each tournament. These points will be tallied up by combining your best 9 tournaments to see how you stack up for Angler of the Year.
(Tournament standing are based on the total number of points an angler accumulates during each event throughout the fishing year. The point system will cover all Bass Assassins Tournament Series for 2014. We will use the individual anglers top 9 finishes overall from the 2014 tournaments to determine the standings. This will allow you to miss tournaments because of work or family commitments and still compete for the title. They consist of 200 points to the event winner with a 5 point decrease for each position through 1Oth place, and a 10 point decrease from 11th to 20th place. 21st place down to 25th place and so on will be awarded 45 points.

RP3 Bass King Wildcard Tournament
The RP3 Bass King Wildcard Tournament will be held in December 2014 after the regular Bass Assassins Tournament season has concluded. At that time anglers will have qualified for the Bass Assassins Classic Tournament and some will be left outside of the bubble. This tournament will be the final chance for any last minute heroics for the anglers who missed the cut to qualify for the Classic. It allows the top placing non-qualified angler to punch his/her ticket to the Classic. This will be an exciting, nail biting, and adrenaline filled tournament for the anglers who are fighting for a chance at Classic glory. This tournament will be open to both Classic qualifiers, and non-qualifiers. If an angler who wins the Wildcard event is already qualified for the classic, it will open up another slot on the leaderboard for an angler who isn’t already qualified. (example: if the 1st place winner is already qualified for the Classic and the 2nd place angler isn’t qualified. That angler will move on to the classic. If the 2nd place angler is already qualified for the Classic and the 3rd place angler isn’t. That angler will move into the Classic and so on.)
Bass Assassins Classic
The Bass Assassins Classic is going to be a barn burner. This tournament will contain the top 10 AOY Bass Assassins anglers, each of the regular season event winners, and the RP3 Bass King Wildcard qualifier for the 2014 tournament season. This will place the best anglers of the 2014 season on one body of water to battle it out for the covenant Classic title.
