This is how things are shaping up after the first two events. Jimmy Dorris has taken the early lead, with 16 events left to go for Angler of the Year. He sits at the top of the list with Beaux Lasiter nipping at his heels. It is still early on but things should get interesting once we get deeper into the fishing season. Now if we would have the Bass Assassins Classic after this event the top 12 ranked anglers would be seated in for the Classic. With two anglers (# 2 ranked Beaux lasiter, and 7th ranked Jason Pittman) double qualifying with wins under their belt. It would open up two more spots down the AOY ranks, boosting the 11th seat (Derek Paternostro) and 12th seat (Lee Hillman) in for the Classic. As of right now we still have a lot of the regular season events left and plenty of time to see how thing really unfold. This is already shaping up to be an interesting and exciting year.
