Northshore bass fishing vet Jimmy Dorris remains in the lead after the Lock 1 Lockdown. He has added 20 valuable points to his already commanding lead and is looking to close out the season as AOY Champ. Joe Picone has risen from 3rd to 2nd place in the AOY race jumping over Chris Basey by 15 points, and posting another strong finish at the Lock 1 Lockdown. Chris Basey has fallen from 2nd place to 3rd in the AOY standings but is looking to rally back into striking distance on his home waters of the Tchefuncte River for the next event. We are coming down to crunch time with only 5 events left to go for the season and the top AOY anglers are all gunning for the title. Anglers are getting their game faces on for their last shots at the AOY crown. I have spoken to several of the top anglers and they are already preparing to take the Tchefuncte River Triumph head on with lots of scouting and game day preparations. This should be another great event with another outstanding turn out. The 2014 Bass Assassins season has already gone down as one for our record books and is only going to get better as we reach the finish line.
