The 2014 Bass Assassins season kicked off with a bang today on Bayou Lacombe. Twenty-five anglers, and 3 Little Tanglers showed up to start the season off. At the weigh in the word was the same across the field. That word was slow. The fish that were brought to the scale were worked for, and everyone had to fish slow to get them. Only thirty-nine fish were brought in, and a limit went a long ways. Beau Lassiter took home the first place honors with his 9 lbs. 9 oz. limit. Second place went to Chris Basey with a limit weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. Third and big fish was caught by Bill Dorris. Bill's four fish weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. with a 4 lbs. 6 oz. kicker. Ronald Pierre rounded up the top four with a 6 lbs. 13 oz. limit. In the Little Tanglers division it was Gavin Basey who took home first, and big fish. Gavin brought in a 2 lbs. 15 oz. bass.
