The Double Nickel (East) had 19 boats show up to fish the East Pearl River. It was a good morning to fish, however, the incoming tide threatened to pose a problem. It didn't stop most of the anglers from catching their limits. In the end it was Bill Dorris who brought in the heaviest limit weighing 7.28 pounds. Dorris also won the big bass pot with a bass weighing 3.38 pounds. In second place was James Harris who brought in a limit that weighed 7.14 pounds. Ralph Dunn took third place with 5.48 pounds.
The Double Nickel Bass Club (East) is holding its next tournament at the East Pearl River on August 20. For more information, please contact Dwain Crumby at 985-502-6006.
