Chris Basey The weather and the fishing was hot today on the West Pearl. Out of 14 anglers only 5 anglers did not catch a limit. Over 96 lbs. of bass. Not bad at all the heat of the summer. The river was at normal stage and the tide in the marsh was coming in. All morning while sitting at the launch, and the first part of the day it was drizzling. Later the sun came out in spurts making it hot at times. With all the weigh bags lined up at the scale we knew there would be a shoot out for this win. Jimmy Dorris came out on top with a beautiful limit weighing 10 lbs. 7 oz. Jimmy's bag was anchored with a nice 4 lbs. However this bass that still did not win big fish. Following in second was two anglers with a tie. Jared Norris and Chris Basey both brought in 9 lbs. 13 oz. Jared had a 5 fish limit but Chris only had 4. The big fish of 4 lbs. 5 oz. was brought in by Chris Basey.
