Dwain Crumby It was a cool morning at the East Pearl River as the Double Nickel as 22 boats showed up to fish the event. The water was very low at the launch and some anglers joked around saying, "Maybe I should have brought some water so I could launch my boat." Although the tide was extremely low there was some clean water in some areas. In the end, Jason Lee took first place with 3 fish weighing 6.88 pounds. Lee also won the big bass pot with a bass that weighed 4.08 pounds. James Harris took second place with a 3-fish limit that weighed 6.42 pounds. Third place went to Terry Lott who hung a limit of 6.02 pounds. C J Mayeux won second place big bass with 3.24 pounds.
