Jimmy Dorris not only locked up the AOY race during the previous Bass Assassins tournament but decided to add a cherry on top with 3 wins in a row during the Bayou Lacombe Showdown. Jimmy Dorris had a season for the record books for the 2014 Assassins series. His lowest best 9 finish came in at 5th place with 4 wins for the season. He simply outpaced, out practiced, out strategized, and outfished more than 50 different anglers through out the 2014 Bass Assassins season to claim one of the Bass Assassins most prestigious awards. He fought rain, extreme cold weather, fog, lightning, rough weather, and some of the Northshores finest sticks to take his seat at the top of the leaderboard. He will be awarded a customized AOY plaque, and more than $100 worth of tackle from RP3 Custom Fishing Lures.
Now that the AOY top prize is locked up anglers will turn their focus at making the Bass Assassins Classic. With only 1 regular season event left and a wild card at the end of the year, anglers around 20th place will start feeling the pressure. They will only have 2 events left to jump into Classic contention and will have to battle it out on the water to make the cut for February's tournament.
