It was a beautiful day today on Bayou Liberty today for the 19 anglers, and 3 youths that fished the Bass Assassins tournament today. The water was low, and falling in the early hours. As I called out names in the morning I seen most of the people headed south, but a few headed north. It was evident by the people running around that the fishing was tough. There was boats running back, and fourth trying to find the bag to win. Jimmy Dorris was able to find that bag. His limit weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz. took home the first place honors, and locked him a spot in the classic. In second was another Bayou Liberty vet Beau Lassiter with a 6 lbs. 10 oz. limit. Following closely in third was Kyle Hills with a 6 lbs. 4 oz. limit. The 5 lbs. 3 oz. big fish of the day was brought in by Brad Romano. In the Little Tanglers division it was Nicki Picone with two fish totaling 2 lbs. 15 oz. Second place, and big fish honors went to Payton Waller with one keeper weighing 1 lbs. 15 oz. Payton narrowly bested the third Little Tangler Gavin Basey who had one fish 1 lbs. 8 oz.
