The Bass Assassins fished a high and fairly clear East Pearl River for their final tournament of 2024. The morning was chilly as the boats blasted off it was 60 degrees. The water temps were hovering in the low 80s that morning. Everyone was ready to get out on the water because it looked like it was going to be a great day. As the day progressed, it was clear that their assumptions were wrong. At the weigh-in, in some well-known river fishermen were talking about how tough it was. Some only managed a few fish to bring to the scales. John Seghers was able to put together a 7.70-pound limit to beat out the other 16 anglers in the field. John Cahill took home second place with his 6.27-pound limit. A 5-fish bag weighing 5.78 pounds was enough to propel Rob Roberts to a third-place finish.
