With the extra help from Timmy Dickens signing people up and doing the weigh in alongside James Harris, Chad Hartzog and Morgan Schutte, the 2017 liars and lunkers winter series started out with a bang drawing in a great turnout of 25 boats at the East Pearl!! It was a beautiful day, however it forecasted for some major wind as well, and it was spot on. Anglers blasted off in all directions, and only time would tell who was going to finish on top. As the 3:00pm weigh in approached some anglers had bigger smiles than others while walking to the scales. The ear to ear grin on Korey Inscoe's face proved to everyone that him and Brock were going to continue their consecutive high stringers. Anglers eyes widened as the duo pulled each bass out, one of which was the tourney big bass tipping the scales at 5.35 pounds anchoring them a 16.61 Pound limit awarding them 1st place and over $700! Trenton Pittman and his partner Chase Damare's consecutive streak continues as well with them walking away with 2nd place and a solid 10.47 pound bag. New anglers to the Liars and Lunkers tournament Caleb and Curtis Irvine showed up with their game faces on landing them a 3rd place finish with 10.01 pounds. Rounding out the top five was Bobby Dampier in 4th with 9.74, and Phil and Morgan Schutte in 5th with 8.17
Great job to all the anglers and we will see you at the next one at hwy 90 East pearl on October 29th.
