With the first quarter of the tournament season just about behind us, the 2018 NBS Power Rankings are currently spotlighting some really good anglers! After 20 events, the rankings have 53 ranked anglers who have finished in the top three of a tournament!
Starting the year off with a bang was the veteran team from the PRTT of Charlie Dauzat and Mark Mohr. Well not only did they start off strong, they currently still sit atop the rankings. No surprise here being these two have been a staple on the Pearl for a really long time and it appears it’s going to be a battle to try and best them.
Thus far in the rankings there’s been a few anglers making leaps up the standings which really shows the consistency of some of these guys. The largest leap however was by Mr. Dwayne Crumby who has both a third place and a first place finish in the last two Bass Assassin’s events! These two finishes impressively have moved him up from the 23rd spot all the way to 7th spot! Other anglers making a move are Danny and Nick Giovingo, Reese Watkins, and Eric Ciko.
Certainly the Power Rankings are going to change hands back and forth throughout the season, but the anglers that are fishing really well this year are starting to realize they have not only the ability, but the opportunity to be crowned Northshore Bass Series AOY 2018. Maybe, just maybe, this is fueling their fire a little more than they would like to admit. Good luck and good fishing to everybody!
