Joe Picone Four anglers fished the Double Nickel (west) event at the Tchefuncte River. The river was lit up even as early as 5:00 a.m. as the fishermen gathered at the 4th St. Boat Launch in Covington. Fishing was tough with the rising pressure but Richard Alotto figured them out and was able to bring in a bag weighing 2.80 pounds. Alotto also won big bass with a fish that weighed 1.28 pounds.
