The nonexistent bite on the Tchefuncte River continues. This did not stop 18 boats comprised as individuals and teams from fishing this past Sunday. Many of the anglers that fished the tournament pre- fished the week before and on Saturday. The conditions were not favorable as another front had just passed and we were greeted with high pressure and dirty water. You know it’s tough when people that have been fishing the river for over 25 years did not get more than 2 bites in an entire day of fishing. Out of the 18 boats only 8 weighed fish. 6 of the boats only brought in 1 fish and one boat weighed 5 and the other boat weighed 2 fish. This is fishing and things will probably change in the next month or so. Over 15 prizes were raffled off after the weigh in. I look forward to the next tournament. I will post dates for the rest of the tournaments this year once its finalized. I apologize for not having any photos of the winners but my I-Phone took a bath. The phone hit the deck and bounced and went in the water. This happened at 8:00 in the morning. My day did not get off to a good start.
