It was a slow day on the lock canal. Nine anglers came out to fish. With the passing fronts lately the temperatures were mild. Well, ok, we will say not boiling hot. Just hot. Unfortunately the bass hate after front conditions and it showed at the scales. Some fish were said to be caught early on bigger baits but once the sun started poking above the trees it was slow as a crawl. Ronald Pierre worked a finesse patern all day to end up taking the win. He had a 4 fish bag that weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. Following in second place was Chris Basey who also used a finesse technique to bring in his limit that weighed 5 lbs. 8 oz. The 4 lbs. big fish was also caught by Ronald.
Other anglers who weighed in fish: 3rd: Jimmy Dorris 5 fish 5 lbs. 2 oz. 4th: Richard Bennett 3 fish 4 lbs. 7 oz. 5th: Joe Picone 3 fish 4 lbs. 6 oz. 6th: Lawrence Lemoine 4 fish 4 lbs. 2 oz. 7th: Will Moore 2 fish 2 lbs. 14 oz. 8th: Lashaun Robertson 1 fish 2 lbs. 3 oz. 9th: Gene Perilloux 1 fish 1 lbs. 12 oz. |
