The 14th annual Liars and Lunkers Classic bass tournament was held on July 13th at the East Pearl River in Slidell. The eleven teams that entered the tournament had to qualify by fishing at least three other Liars and Lunkers tournaments. Most boats made a mad dash for the West Pearl River, which had been on a steady fall and was fishable for the first time in what seems like months. Eight limits of five bass were brought back for the 2:00 PM weigh in and only two teams blanked on the day. The results were as follows:
In addition to the Classic tournament, the Liars and Lunkers were happy to hand out awards for the top three teams of 2014, the heaviest stringer of the year and biggest bass of the year. The award winners were as follows:
