Foggy Waters Marina on Bayou Liberty was the site of the last Bass Assassins tournament. The eighteen anglers who showed up to do battle on the bayou were faced with some challenging post-frontal conditions that had the fish not wanting to cooperate.  On top of that, we had two tides in the morning, which kept the fish from really positioning in one area. CJ Pichon was able to figure out how to put together a 7.15 lbs. limit with a 2.45 lbs. kicker to take home the win and big fish.  Devin Artique was able to bring in a 7.05 lbs. limit to narrowly miss the win and ended up in second.  Danny Giovingo took home third with a 4.84 lbs. limit.

The Double Nickel Bass Club fished on an overcast morning with a light breeze that continued until later in the day. There were 23 boats that showed up to compete for bragging rights and a cash pot. The water appeared muddy from a distance but was more of a stain once anglers started fishing. The river was still high, and the tide started coming in later in the morning. Some anglers went south while others headed north. Everyone was a little concerned about the rain, but they made it through without issues. In the end, it was Bob Perry who came in first place with a total weight of 7.73 pounds. Perry also won the big bass pot with a 3.74-pound fish. Bill Dorris claimed second place with 7.48 pounds and second place big bass with a 3.57-pound fish. Tommy Watkins took third place with 7.06 pounds.
