On 4/13/25 ten boats showed up at the Foggy Waters Marina for the 4 th event of
the FPBA season. The anglers were greeted by a chilly full moon morning and
clear skies, a low tide on an already low bayou due to a couple of days of north
winds. As the day warmed up, most of the anglers spent at least part of the day
looking for the last spawners that had moved up. Dock talk had most the bass in
a post spawn pattern with a few still on beds. Most of the grass that Bonafuca is known for was almost on the bank, with the low water conditions. As always, some
find a way to catch them somewhere and somehow.
1st spot was Skip Rayburn with 5 fish for 9.30 lbs. 2 nd was the team of Bishop
Gehegan & Karla Lee with 5 for 9.16 lbs. 3rd hole was Chad Babin with 5 alive for
8.29 lbs. First spot out the money was Patrick Engerran and Troy Conklin with 5
dinks for 7.05 lbs and fifth place was John Segers with 4 fish for 6.70 lbs.

Guy Stegall secured second place with a total weight of 5.98 pounds. In third place was Ralph Dunn with 5.69 pounds, who also claimed second place in the big bass division with a 2.61-pound bass.

The Double Nickel Bass Club fished the East Pearl River. The morning temperatures were cool, and the humidity was low, which made it quite enjoyable for the 22 boats that showed up to fish.  The West Pearl and other rivers in the area were high and muddy. The water was falling for most of the morning, but started to rise. In the end, it was  Bob Perry who brought in a 3-fish limit of 6.92 pounds. Perry also took second place in the big bass division with a bass that weighed 3.25 pounds.  Rob Watson came in second place with a 3-fish bag that weighed 5.14 pounds. Watson also won the big bass pot with a 3.77-pound bass. In third place was Bill Dorris with a limit that weighed 4.87.
